ある日、行きつけのバーで美しい女性と出会い、思いがけない情事に巻き込まれる。浮気の事実が漏れないよう万全を期すヴィンセントだが、記憶を失ったピアニストのリンの愛情も受け始める。
そんな中、街では奇妙な噂が流れ始める。「浮気をした男は悪夢にうなされる。夢の中で死ぬと、現実世界でも死が訪れる」。
